National Student Māori Nurses Hui
Bringing Māori nursing tauira together from across Aotearoa to connect, learn, and grow.
Each year, the Hui creates a space for whakawhanaungatanga, confidence-building, and strengthening identity as Māori nurses.
About the Hui
The National Student Māori Nurses Hui (Hui ā Tau) is an annual gathering for Māori nursing tauira, co-hosted by Te Kaunihera and nursing kura across Aotearoa.
It provides a supportive environment where tauira can share experiences, build connections, and develop the confidence to step into their future roles as Māori nurses.
The Hui ā Tau is a critical space for Māori nursing tauira to connect, grow, and build confidence in their journey.
It provides an environment where tauira can strengthen their identity as Māori nurses, share experiences, and feel supported within a collective that understands their path.
By investing in tauira, the Hui contributes to a stronger, more connected future workforce—ensuring Māori nursing continues to grow with confidence, leadership, and cultural integrity.

Each Hui includes a mix of:
Tauira-led sessions and kōrero
Workshops focused on study and transition to practice
